Junior sections incorporating Pony Club U 18’s – Open to all riders under 18, on the 1st January 2021. Pony Club - Please tick PC box, and add your age and membership number in the special requests box

Pony Club – Riders 18 years or older prior to 1st Jan 2021.  Please enter adult class, but tick PC box, and include age and membership number. Qualification will be for adult section of the Cotswold Cup.  This section will run on the Sunday, however if there are full entries in the junior sections, it will run as the last section on Saturday.

Late entries:

May be accepted online if classes are not full at a cost of an additional £5.00.

Entries close/withdrawal date: 21st May 2021 or when full.​

Substitutions:

To be emailed to oxstallsevents@gmail.com. If substituting either a horse OR rider there is a £5 administration fee. Substituting a horse and rider combination in its entirety constitutes a new entry and a full entry fee must be paid.

Withdrawals:

Must be registered with the entries secretary in writing or via email to oxstallsevents@gmail.com before the closing date. You must notify the on-site secretary if you wish to withdraw during the event.

 

Withdrawal Policy:

  1. Withdrawals for whatever reason prior to the closing date (21st May 2021) will receive a full refund minus a £10 administration fee.

  2. Withdrawals made after the closing date (21st May 2021), other than accompanied by a veterinary / doctors certificate are non refundable except if replaced from the waitlist.  A £10 admin fee will be retained.

  3. Withdrawals made 24 hours prior to the start of the event are non refundable.

Times will be available from Wednesday 26th May 2021 after 6pm at www.cotswoldcup.co.uk

Number Bibs:

These are not provided. A4 paper inserts to be printed at home ahead of the competition and can be downloaded from www.cotswoldcup.co.uk

Prizes and Rosettes:

Results will be available at www.cotswoldcup.co.uk

Prizes – These will be detailed in the online programme.

Prize giving will depend on the prevailing covid restrictions.  If not permitted,  rosettes will be posted.  Prizes if suitable can be posted, or collected from Oxstalls Farm, or from Oxstalls (2) 3rd & 4th July.

Cancellation:

If the event has to be cancelled Cotswold Cup and Oxstalls XC Social Media will be updated. Any queries please text 07876742186.

Unfortunately, due to COVID we have been unable to secure cancellation insurance - as such, if cancellation of the event is unavoidable, entry less £15 will be refunded. 

Course description:

A spectator friendly course, including Cotswold stone walls, and a wide variety of professionally built fences.  Designed to encourage horse and rider, with emphasis on good ground preparation.  We want people to have an enjoyable experience.

 

Course Walking:

The course will be available for walking between 2pm and 8pm on Thursday 27th May 2021. Gates lock at 8pm - please only bring one additional person when walking the course. Course maps available at www.crosscountryapp.com

Directions:

The event will be signed from the A419 from both directions.  DO NOT GO INTO FRAMPTON MANSELL.  Take the turning by the Jolly Nice Farm shop towards Rodmarton, and the entrance is half a mile down there on the left.

Owners / Spectators:

This will depend on the COVID-19 regulation at the time please the news flash and our website (Oxstallsxc.co.uk or Cotswoldcup.co.uk)  for up-to-date information.

All-Terrain Vehicles/Motorcycles will not be permitted.

 

Catering:

Hot and cold refreshments available throughout the event.

 

Stabling:

Qualifiers:

All classes are qualifiers for Cotswold Cup Championships.

All junior sections, incorporating The Pony Club,  will receive qualifying points for the Cotswold Cup for eligible combinations.

COVID 19 Terms and Conditions:

ANYONE VULNERABLE OR DISPLAYING ANY COVID 19 SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND

 

These Conditions are subject to change with the developing guidelines.

Please ensure you are familiar with them prior to coming to the event.

Currently each competitor is ONLY allowed to bring ONE additional supporting person with them. This person must travel in the vehicle to the event with the rider and ideally be able to drive the vehicle and horse home in the event of an accident. If your supporting person is unable to drive the vehicle you MUST have made provisions to ensure the vehicle and horse can be removed from the venue. This supporting person must be available to help the rider alongside medical staff in the event of an accident if required. The name and phone number of the supporting person will be asked for at the time of entry. No extra people will be allowed onsite other than the rider, named support person, volunteers & officials. All other people will be asked to leave. No additional children other than those riding or with volunteers from the same household.

Should this event be cancelled at short notice due to Covid 19 or a change in the government’s advice, the organisers will retain £15.00 per entry fee to cover costs.

Gloves and Masks will be provided for volunteers and officials. Competitors and their assistant attending the event should provide their own protective equipment should they wish to use it.

RULES:

  1. Please note -This horse trials will be run under British Eventing competition rules unless stated in this schedule.

  2. It is compulsory that all riders wear hats/helmets up to British Standard Riding Hats conforming to All PAS 015, VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked, European – VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked American –All SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 Australian & New Zealand – AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards.
    All Hats must carry a Cotswold Cup Tag or 2018 Turquoise British Eventing/PC or RC tag

  3. It is compulsory that every person entering the venue who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.

  4. All horses/ponies should have received a vaccination within 12 months of the date of the competition having already received their initial course of injections. There must be six clear days between the last vaccination and the date of the competition. Random checks will be taking place.

  5. We strongly advise not to bring your dog to the event site. Dogs must be kept at the vehicle in the lorry park at all times and not bought onto the competition site. A fine of £100 will be implemented for anyone not adhering to this rule. The Only Dogs allowed on the competition site will be those of officials, event volunteers and these must be kept on leads at all times.

  6. It is compulsory that horseboxes are not to be mucked out on site.

  7. The Management / owners  of the venue reserve the right to remove anyone from the course at any time for inappropriate behaviour.

  8. All horses/ponies must be 5 years and over.

  9. Riding horses is a high-risk sport and riders taking part in this event acknowledge this and do so at their own risk and that the organisers and land owners will not be accountable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury to rider, horse or equipment however caused, including Covid-19.

  10. Body Protectors are compulsory for the Cross Country phase and strongly recommended for Show Jumping. Body Protectors should be worn under an air jacket if a competitor chooses to wear one.

  11. Riders must be a minimum of 10 years old.

  12. The venue owner does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are always strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance .

  13. The Venue, or anyone involved in the organisation of the event will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any person or their property however this may be caused, including Covid 19.

  14. Safe Guarding & Code of Conduct: We take this seriously at all competitions.

  15. Health and safety - The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the rules and instructions of the organisers and stewards/officials.  By entering the event you are agreeing to adhere to these protocols.

  16. Covid guidelines must be adhered to, and may be subject to change according to changing government guidelines.  Please read these and tick box on entry form.

The event site owner nor organiser does not insure the rider, your horse, your tack or your equipment. You are strongly advised to have in place your own adequate insurance at all times.
