Junior sections  - open to all riders under 18 on the 1st January


Substitutions  - horse OR rider may be substituted, with a £5 admin fee.  All substitutions must be emailed to oxstallsevents@gmail.com


Start Times / Course walking

Start times will be available at www.Oxstallsxc.co.uk  / www.cotswoldcup.co.uk from Wednesday 30th June at 6 pm.  The XC course will be open for walking between 2-8pm on Thursday 1st July (Gates are locked at 8pm) and throughout the event. The course will be available at www.crosscountryapp.com. Please only bring one additional person when walking the course.


Competition Numbers - Competition numbers are to be printed at home and can be downloaded from Cotswoldcup.co.uk /Eventing Scores, when times are available.  


Withdrawal Policy

All withdrawals must be  EMAILED to oxstallsevents@gmail.com.

1.Withdrawals for whatever reason before the closing date will receive a refund minus the £10 admin fee

2.Withdrawals made after the closing date, other than accompanied by a veterinary / doctors certificate are NON REFUNDABLE except IF replaced from the wait list.  THERE IS NO GUARANTEE YOUR ENTRY WILL BE REPLACED. A £15 admin fee will be retained.

3.  Withdrawals made 24 hours prior to the start of the event are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Unfortunately we are unable to get full cancellation insurance due to the Covid situation.  As a result, in the event of cancellation the entry will be refunded less £15 to pay contractors.


Course description

A spectator friendly course, including Cotswold stone walls, and a wide variety of professionally built fences.  Designed to encourage horse and rider, with emphasis on good ground preparation.  We want people to have an enjoyable experience.

Objections –If you need to lodge an objection to your score this needs to be done before 7pm on the day of the competition. Objections must be made to oxstallsevents@gmail.com or text 07876742186


Prizes – These will be detailed in the online programme.

Prizes can be collected from the CHECK IN SHED as you leave, once the results have been verified.   Rosettes can be sent if an SAE is left. Dressage  sheets –These can be collected from the check in shed as you leave once they have been released.  Otherwise please leave an SAE



The event will be signed from the A419 from both directions.  DO NOT GO INTO FRAMPTON MANSELL.  Take the turning by the Jolly Nice Farm shop towards Rodmarton, and the entrance is half a mile down there on the left.

70 classes are qualifiers for the 70 cm championships held at Waverton house.

80,90,100 classes are qualifiers for Cotswold Cup Championships.

All terrain vehicles/ motorcycles and bikes will not be permitted


Catering – Hot and Cold refreshments are available throughout the event.


Stabling – onsite and local stabling is available from £30 per night.  To book please email oxstallsevents@gmail.com. Hook up is available at £15 per night



Please note -This horse trials will be run under British Eventing competition rules unless stated in this schedule.

  1. It is compulsory that all riders wear hats/helmets up to British Standard Riding Hats conforming to All PAS 015, VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked, European – VG1 – provided they are BSI Kitemarked American –All SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 Australian & New Zealand – AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards.  All Hats must carry a Cotswold Cup Tag or 2018 Turquoise British Eventing/PC or RC tag

  2. It is compulsory that every person entering the venue who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.

  3. All horses must be vaccinated on an annual basis. There must be 6 clear days between any vaccination injection given and the date of the event.

  4. We strongly advise not to bring your dog to the event site. Dogs must be kept at the vehicle in the lorry park at all times and not bought onto the competition site. The Only Dogs allowed on the competition site will be those of officials, event volunteers and these must be kept on leads at all times.

  5. It is compulsory that horseboxes are not to be mucked out on site.

  6. The Management / owners  of the venue reserve the right to remove anyone from the course at any time for inappropriate behaviour.

  7. All horses/ponies must be 5 years and over.

  8. Riding horses is a high-risk sport and riders taking part in this event acknowledge this and do so at their own risk and that the organisers and land owners will not be accountable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury to rider, horse or equipment however caused, including Covid-19.

  9. Riders must be a minimum of 10 years old.

  10. The venue owner does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are always strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance .

  11. The Venue, or anyone involved in the organisation of the event will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any person or their property however this may be caused, including Covid 19.

  12. Safe Guarding & Code of Conduct: We take this Seriously at all Competitions.

  13. Health and safety - The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the rules and instructions of the organisers and stewards/officials.  By entering the event you are agreeing to adhere to these protocols.


COVID 19 Terms and Conditions


ANYONE VUNERABLE OR DISPLAYING ANY COVID 19 SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTENDThese Conditions are subject to change with the developing guidelines. 

Please ensure you are familiar with them prior to coming to the event. 

Currently each competitor is ONLY allowed to bring four additional supporting person with them.

This person must travel in the vehicle to the event with the rider and ideally be able to drive the vehicle and horse home in the event of an accident.

If your supporting person is unable to drive the vehicle you MUST have made provisions to ensure the vehicle and horse can be removed from the venue.

This supporting person must be available to help the rider alongside medical staff in the event of an accident if required.

The name and phone number of the supporting person will be asked for at the time of entry.

No extra people will be allowed onsite other than the rider, named support person, volunteers & officials. All other people will be asked to leave.

No additional children other than those from the same household as competitors or volunteers

Should this event be cancelled at short notice due to Covid 19 or a change in the government’s advice, the organisers will retain £15.00 per entry fee to cover costs. 

Gloves and Masks will be provided for volunteers and officials. Competitors and their assistant attending the event should provide their own protective equipment should they wish to use it.
